 WELCOME TO MY ONLINE GALLERY

My journey as a student of fine art began after retiring in 2014 from a career in book publishing. It started at Hemet Valley Art Association with pencil-drawing classes, followed by Joyce Thomas’ watercolor workshops, and then Betty Pilley’s weekly advanced-watercolor classes. I remain a student of Betty’s and attribute my progress to her teaching and encouragement.

I polished my techiques at workshops by Joyce Thomas, Janice Cipriani-Willis, and Susan Keith. I am member of HVAA and an Associate Artist at Dorland Mountain Arts Colony in Temecula where I studied watercolor under Robert Willis.

My art has received numerous Best of Show awards at HVAA,and I was the Fine Artist of the Year in 2022. My work has been shown at HVAA, Redlands Art Association, Brandon Gallery in Fallbrook, The Merc and city Museum in Old Town Temecula, and at Dorland Mountain Arts Colony. The portrait  "Captain Al" was awarded 3rd place, watermedia, at Carlsbad-Oceanside Art League's open juried competition in 2021.

I am Featured Artist at Temecula's Art Nights, a solo exhibit at The Merc in Old Town, Temecula. The exhibit, which includes 35 pieces, will be open August 2 - August 27. My work will also be the Dorland Associate Artist Art Nights August 30 - October 1.
